**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
The **Phlebotomist **is primarily responsible for accurate and timely collection of specimens across the facility.
**What you will do in this role**:
- Provide excellent quality patient care including patient communication, collection of samples, combining requisitions, checking for outstanding specimens, including microbiology and blood bank specimens.
- Responsible for answering lab phones; receiving all specimens (including pneumatic tube) and receiving /putting up supplies.
- Chart patient reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of all areas of operations within the laboratory; how the laboratory interacts with other hospital departments and outside customers.
**What qualifications you will need**:
- Must be able to multiple task effectively while maintaining a strong eye for detail.
- Prior phlebotomy experience, ideally in the hospital laboratory setting, is preferred.
