**Purpose**:
Housing Savannah, Inc. is seeking an energetic and visionary Communications & Community Development Manager to join their team. The Communications & Community Development Manager for _Housing Savannah, Inc_. is intended to be an integral partner and collaborator with the Executive Director to meet the organization’s goals and objectives in raising community awareness and financial support for affordable housing in the region as a critical socio-economic initiative.

Housing Savannah, Inc. is a new City supported 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was incorporated in March 2022 as called for in the **Housing Savannah Action Plan**. It is an independent non-profit organization established under the umbrella of Community Housing Services Agency, Inc. (CHSA) a longtime successful non-profit organization established in 1989 by community, business and local government officials. CHSA, a CDFI, has been involved in a variety of successful housing endeavors including, in recent years, serving as master developer for the $110M redevelopment of 44 acres of land into 600+ affordable rental and owner
- occupied housing. It has also administered and raised funds for the **Savannah Affordable Housing Fund**—established by the City of Savannah in 2012.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Collaborate with Executive Director to identify education, outreach, communications, and fund development opportunities appropriate to contribute to the mission of _Housing Savannah_.
- Initiate, develop, and nurture relationships with multiple stakeholders and constituencies, including community leaders, community groups, affordable housing developers and syndicators, non-profit partners, as well as municipalities, local government(s) and their staff(s) to further the preservation and creation of housing that is affordable in the Savannah/Chatham County area.
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to increase general awareness of affordable housing issues, initiatives, and opportunities for various audiences.
- Develop, initiate, and manage relationships with community, business and civic leaders, citizens, and other stakeholders in/out of the affordable housing realm to create a network of support and engagement for _Housing Savannah_ and for housing that is affordable for citizens across the socio-economic spectrum.
- Engage the broad community to promote the mission and programs of _Housing Savannah_ through forums, community conversations, listening sessions, town hall meetings, and information sessions.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and board to align community engagement efforts with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Utilize the organization’s CRM database to track community partners and stakeholders for fundraising, outreach, communications, and engagement efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate community engagement efforts to measure impact and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director in cultivating a meaningful and productive communications strategy, including the shared responsibility to develop, refine, and enhance the organization’s communications plan.
- Assist with the organization’s social media and online presence to engage with the community and promote the non-profit’s mission and initiatives.
- Develop and manage the community outreach and general communications materials, printed and digital, in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Participate in conferences, panel discussions, coalitions, collaborative efforts, and days of action.
- Track and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices on computer; ensure that vendors receive payment in a timely manner and investigate any outstanding purchase orders, invoices, or inquiries from vendors, employees, or others.
- Prepare various organizational reports that may include: cost expense, budget analysis, travel vouchers, and requisitions for purchasing.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree or above in marketing, communications, public policy, public administration, social work, non-profit management, or a related field. 3-5 years of non-profit experience in non-profit administration, public relations, marketing, program development, advancement, or community outreach.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
