Position Summary_____________________________________

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, including, but not limited to: off-shift supervisors, inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators. Responsible for the training, management and execution of all new processes, policies and procedures across shifts.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. Ensure monthly safety training is completed for all Solids staff.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts.
- Coordination of inventory management and reporting including bi-weekly inventory cycle count and investigate variances.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals across shifts, including overtime plans.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Keep records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
- Setup special training plans as needed for new and specialized operations.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.
- Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
- Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve employee training needs, worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hiring?s, evaluations, promotions and disciplinary actions.
- Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.
- Plan and develop new products and production processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor?s degree and experience in chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing field (chemical industry preferred).
- SAP Preferred, but not required
- Delegating Responsibility - Ability to allocate authority and/or task responsibility to appropriate people.
- Resource Management (People & Equipment) - Ability to obtain and appropriate the proper usage of equipment, facilities, materials, as well as personnel.
- Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
- Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
- Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
- Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.

Physical Demands:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 45 pounds.

Work Environment:

- This position will operate in a professional office and will spend time standing and walking, bending, reaching, grabbing on the production floor.
- This role will require the use of standard and technical office programs as well as chemical and other volatile laboratory equipment and products
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to wear P.P.E for exposure to fumes or airborne particles, been exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- Minimal travel may be required

**Salary**: $70-90,000, Full benefits (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) with company match, 12 paid holidays and PTO, M-F, great team and environment
