**Position Description: RN**
**BayCare Health System** is currently seeking a **Registered Nurse** to join our outstanding and compassionate **Cardiac Medical **team at **St. Joseph’s Hospital**. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The Cardiac Medical team is a PCU unit that specializes in cardiac patients to include step down CVICU, cardiac arrythmias, MI - myocardial infarct (heart attack), all pre/post cardiac procedures except open heart surgery, and is the overflow for congestive heart failure.
**The RN responsibilities include**:
- Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Professional accountability and development.
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Certifications and Licensures**:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
- ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification is preferred
**Education**:
- Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
- Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred
**Experience**:
- 1 year of RN experience in acute care or 6 months RN experience in acute care with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment is required.
