Collison Center Estimator

As our Collision Center Estimator, you will work with some of the best Collision Center Managers in the business to ensure that repairs are estimated properly and delivered as promised. Our goal is to always exceed expectation, and we need estimators who feel the same way.

Prior experience as an estimator or in a customer service role is preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate, complete, and honest damage estimates for customers
Inspect damaged vehicles thoroughly using standard, written procedures
Estimate the cost of repairs and anticipated time to complete repairs using current computer programs
Carefully explain the damage and repair estimates to customers. Ensure their understanding
As appropriate, help customers process their insurance claims
Evaluate all supplemental repair costs. Ensure that repairs are needed and additional costs are accurate
Monitor repairs as they are made. Track all costs: labor and materials
Ensure that work meets quality standards
Inspect completed repairs; compare final work and final costs to original estimates and supplements
Provide exceptional service to customers from receipt of vehicles to their return to customers. Track customer satisfaction with complete repairs.
Help management, as directed, oversee: Repair and painting operations; Safety programs
Fully coordinate and communicate actions within the Collision Center

Demonstrate knowledge of state of the art body repair and painting practices and techniques
Demonstrate knowledge of insurance industry body repair and painting standards
Is able to read, understand, and explain Material Safety Data Sheets for products used in processing

Is able to communicate effectively - orally and in writing

Total cost of initial estimates written compare to cost of repairs made (Monthly and YTD)
Total cost of supplemental repairs made total cost of repairs made (Monthly and YTD)
Total of repair days estimated compared to the total days needed to complete all repairs handled (Monthly and YTD)
Internal quality control scores for processing and quality
Satisfaction of management and customers with repaired product (finish, paint, accessories, etc.)
Satisfaction of management and customers with repaired product delivery time
Leadership

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compare rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Has a valid Texas Driver’s License and legally able to work in the United States
