Barfield is part of the Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) network, a major MRO provider. With a workforce of 14,000, AFI KLM E&M offers technical support for airlines, ranging from airframe maintenance to engine overhaul and repair and supply of components.

**Position**:Technician**

**Department**: Applicable Shop to skill set

**Report to**:Operations/Production

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrates interest and has successfully cross trained in multiple types of unit repairs.
- As applicable to the designated shop: have the ability to Test, Repair & Overhaul “Electronic”, and / or “Electro-mechanical”, and / or “Mechanical”, and / or “Hydraulic”, and/or “Pneumatic” and/or Avionics aircraft components.
- Needs to be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs some complicated tasks.
- Understand the use of test equipment required
- Dexterity with hand tools.
- Test, Troubleshoot, Repair and calibrate units, using schematics diagrams, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and other documents such as modifications and customer EO’S
- Not all duties are listed, but job requirements are listed in general

**Requirements and Skills**
- Required High School diploma or its equivalent
- 3 + years of experience in the field or related area preferred.
- Must possess the ability to follow written instructions from technical manuals, drawings and other documents.
- Electronics Technicians must possess the ability to solder and de-solder electronic components (through hole-mounted and surface mounted components).
- Must have knowledge and experience with Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer Function Generators etc.).
- Must possess the ability to work with little supervision
