As we continue to grow, we are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join us as Stocking Associates, ensuring our shelves are always well-stocked and organized.
As a Stocking Associate at Chat Genie Café, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of merchandise and ensuring our retail area is well-stocked and organized. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments, checking for accuracy and quality.
- Stocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring items are neatly arranged and easily accessible to customers.
- Rotating merchandise and checking expiration dates to ensure freshness and quality.
- Monitoring inventory levels and notifying management when stock is running low.
- Assisting with inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the storage and retail areas, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
- Assisting customers with locating merchandise and answering questions about products.
- Collaborating with retail and café staff to ensure a seamless experience for customers.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in retail, stocking, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and climb ladders to reach high shelves.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of coffee and café menu items preferred but not required.
- Experience with inventory management systems or basic computer skills.
- Enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for customers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
