Gemstar Construction Company has an opening in our Pre-Construction services department. Construction estimating experience in the Multifamily Housing market is preferred but not required. Training available for the right applicant. Applicant must be willing to learn and have a strong work ethic. Excellent compensation package including base salary, medical benefits, company cell phone and vehicle allowance.

**The following experience is desired**:

- Ability and experience in estimating repairs and reconstruction of Multifamily structures
- Ability to create both conceptual and hard bid estimates
- Estimating from field conditions and site inspections
- Reading, interpreting, and understanding blueprints
- Ability and experience in subcontractor/supplier relations and negotiations
- Working knowledge of Xactimate, Microsoft Project and all Microsoft Office programs
- Handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong math and multi-tasking skills
- Additional construction related experience or skills not already listed above

**Qualifications**
- This position requires outdoor activity in weather conditions
- This position requires periodic and including
- Occasional out-of-city and out-of-state travel, sometimes on short notice
- Participation in industry functions and events in a professional and appropriate manner
- Strong desire to learn and grow your skills
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- University - Construction Management Degree preferred but not required
- Strong computer skills and an aptitude for math and technology
- High level of personal integrity and professionalism
- Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
