Delray Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse for a level 1 trauma center to join our team.
**The Charge Nurse**:
- Hold shift accountability to provide direct care to the patients.
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of other staff.
**Summary**:
The Assistant Nurse Manager directs and supervises nursing care functions and activities in specialty areas to ensure the competent delivery of quality patient care. Will only see **2%** of Oncology patients on this unit, and **98%** of surgical inpatient patients.
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- ACLS (AHA) and EKG Certified
- Manages
- Implements
- Work bedside
- Educate
- Ensure compliance with policies.
- Maintain safe, high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
- Supervise
- Will have a patient load of at least 8 patients.
- May take patient assignments whenever business or operational needs dictates.
**Education**:
Required: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure
Preferred: BSN
**Experience**:
- Minimum Three years as a staff nurse
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
**Certifications**
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- ACLS (AHA) and EKG Certified
**Other Qualifications**
Basic Computer Skills
Preferred: Cerner Experience
