**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Meeting with Departments**: Collaborate with different departments to comprehend their purchasing needs and requirements. Conduct regular meetings to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- ** Purchasing Plan Development**: Develop comprehensive purchasing plans based on departmental requirements, budget constraints, and strategic objectives. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that purchasing activities align with the overall business strategy.
- ** Vendor Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- ** Cost Optimization**: Continuously explore opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining or improving the quality of goods and services procured. Analyze market trends, conduct price comparisons, and identify potential cost-saving initiatives.
- ** Database Management**: Utilize database-driven systems to manage and track purchasing activities, including inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier information. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the system to support informed decision-making.
- ** Reporting and Analysis**: Generate regular reports on purchasing activities, budget utilization, and cost savings initiatives. Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail purchasing, procurement, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with database-driven systems for procurement and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong negotiation skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Professional certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
- Experience with e-procurement platforms or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
