Wallops Island, United States BAE Systems Full time

BAE Systems is seeking Navy LINK and Exterior Communications (EXCOMM) Technicians with experience in performing comprehensive component and system level maintenance for shipboard Systems. The work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

Experience required in one or more of the following Systems:

CDLMS

SA-2112

Crypto Systems

HF/VHF/UHF Radio Systems

DAMA and other SAT Systems

Provide system/equipment configuration and operational support for all deployed baseline AEGIS and SSDS variants

Schedule planned maintenance actions utilizing the SKED program in accordance with the Navy’s Maintenance Material Management (3M) system and also be responsible for documenting all maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program.

1. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 1st Shift

2. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 2nd Shift

3. Variable 4 x 10 shifts that may include weekends (4 days on/3 days off) and may be 1st or 2nd shift

4. Sliding (5 x 8) work weeks (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) and may be 1st or 2nd shift

**PLEASE NOTE - These work week configurations may be scheduled on a rotational basis

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD clearance

Certified ETA Fiber Optic Installer

Experience trouble shooting and repairing Low Level Serial and Parallel interface cables

Experience with Network devices and an understanding of Operating Systems, preferably RedHat or UNIX

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $20800 - $416000
