Job Summary
Underwriting Technician will provide support to assigned underwriters by processing transactions according to departmental timeliness and accuracy standards. Will communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts and demonstrate a positive and productive team-oriented work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Continuously exhibit and uphold Core Values of Integrity, Accountability, Communication and Teamwork, Innovation and Customer Service
- Enter new & renewal policy submissions by Division as assigned
- Book and issue new and renewal business for assigned underwriters according to departmental timeliness standards
- Process cancellations and reinstatements, and other endorsements according to departmental timeliness standards
- Handle special projects as assigned by Team Lead or UW Technical Specialist

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- General knowledge of insurance operations, E&S preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general data entry

Experience and Education
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Some college preferred or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years work experience
