**Job Title -** Machine Operator: Dandies Production

**Location** - Addison, IL

**Reports To - **Plant Manager/Second Shift Production and Sanitation Manager

The Dandies Operator position is one of great power, and with that power comes great responsibility. The Dandies Operator is solely responsible for all operations inside the Dandies Production room.

**Key Responsibilities**
- If opening the line:

- Turn on and check operation of all production machinery. Follow Dandies Production SOP “startup” section and file a “Dandies Preproduction” report through JOLT.
- Be available to work as early as 12:30am
- Complete initial production traceability information.
- Able to understand when to call management in case of startup issues.
- Comply with GMPs, SSOPs, and Food Safety Programs.
- Complete product changeovers
- Must maintain a working knowledge of the marshmallow making process and understand each step in the process and why it is critical to success.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep equipment operational by following the manufacturer's operating care and guidelines.
- Maintain written and electronic logs of production.
- Maintain product quality by following all recipes and processes as instructed.
- Maintain communication with management throughout the day relaying any problems that arise with production.
- Respond to equipment alarms and troubleshoot solutions.
- If closing the lines:

- Follow instructions and training on shutting down the line in a safe and clean manner.
- Work alongside sanitation crew and under the supervision of the Second Shift manager to complete cleaning of the Dandies production room.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

**Education / Experience**
- No educational experience is necessary.

**Skills / Qualifications**
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must understand common percentages, eg. 25% = ¼ etc.
- Must be proficient in spoken english and telephone communication.
- Ability to accurately complete all required paperwork and electronic logs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 # overhead.
- Must be able to reliably report for shifts on time.
- Must have at least two shift availability.
- Must be able to communicate using the company’s SLACK communication program

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.18 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
