Local 100% Employee-owned electrical contractor is seeking a full-time large commercial and industrial electrical estimator/sales professional to join our team.

The basic function of the **Sales / Estimator** is to secure work and assist the project managers for a smooth and efficient operation of the sales and estimating areas of the company. The Sales / Estimator is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of the Proposal Submitted and Awarded Report, maintenance of appropriate systems for internal control and external reports of the results, and responsible for the accuracy and submission of estimates assigned to him or requested by his customer base.

**Duties**:
The Sales / Estimator’s basic function is to secure sales, and provide accurate and timely estimates to the President and others identified by the President.

Ensures that the policies and procedures of the company are carried out in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives as set forth by the President.

Shares responsibility for the maintenance, in good order, of all sales records and other files assigned to this function and the safekeeping of all company records including computer information.

Coordinates and is responsible along with the President and other sales personnel for the forecasts and budget information (with inputs from the management team), and helps in presenting the final annual sales budget which will meet or exceed the plans and goals of the company to the President.

**Requirements**:
At least four years experience installing electrical systems or a degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Database, and estimating software. Ability to manage data processing needs by producing estimates and keeping current on software changes. Knowledge will include electrical installation practices, and code requirements.

Must be able to comprehend the use of various business math formulas and statistical equations in computing the estimates for proposals. The ability to research and utilize spreadsheets in formulating possible results based on different scenarios.

The physical requirements are sitting (80%) of the time at a desk and a majority of that time will be utilizing a PC. Walking in the office area and travel will be required. The body must perform the normal duties of twisting, reaching and the hand movements to write and answer the telephone. Must possess the senses of sight, hearing and have the full power of speech.

Working Conditions:
The majority of the time (80%) will be spent sitting in an office environment with some noise and may or may not have a controlled temperature. Other time will be spent in the field or traveling.

Work will consist of (8) plus hour days with weekend work required from time to time completing estimates, proposals and planning.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
