**SUMMARY**:
Work as a Laboratory Technician responsible for analysis of materials. Analysis serves to characterize newly developed materials, and ensure productions products meet desired specifications. Analysis is conducted within parameters specified in standard operating procedures, and following ISO 9001 guidelines. Laboratory Technicians must have wet chemistry and physical testing knowledge.

**Schedules**:
Monday
- Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

**Shift Differentials**

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct analysis following SOP’s using appropriate laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Record results in Data Management System according to laboratory procedures.
- Follow analysis timelines as instructed by Lab Manager.
- Report unusual or unexpected results to Lab Manager.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, perform troubleshooting, occasional repair, or assist repair technicians.
- Ensure consumable materials are stocked and available as needed for analysis.
- Cover any area of testing required in the laboratory when required or called upon.
- Work with Quality Control and R&D Scientists to assist in method and product development.
- Identifies and labels samples meant for storage; stores in appropriate location.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Work within safety guidelines provided by EHS team.

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:

- Associate degree with coursework in Chemistry, bachelor’s degree a plus.
- At least three years of work experience working in a quality control lab environment.
- Laboratory experience is required. Inorganic chemistry a plus.
- Experience in some or all of the following areas is desired; ICP-OES, Ion Chromatography, Auto titration, Manual Titration, Moisture Content, Fire Assay, Particle Size Distribution, Surface Area, Sieve Testing, Carbon Analysis, Oxygen Analysis, Gravimetric Analysis, Spectrophotometry, Acid Digestion.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. required.

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**:

- No travel required.

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent data analytics skills with the ability to prepare accurate report results.
- Thorough understanding of laboratory best practices.
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Pay: $31.25 per hour
