**Duties**:
Serves as Academic Specialist (Directorate of Academics) at the CISA Joint Special Operations Masters of Arts (JSOMA) program in Fort Liberty, North Carolina and technical advisor to the Director of Academic Staff and Assessment. The Academic Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and executing academic support functions.

The Academic Specialist is responsible for the creation and annual evaluation of the Course Management, Inventory Maintenance, and Book Ordering and Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for CISA JSOMA faculty and staff. Develops and oversees the implementation of academic policies and processes to improve productivity, effectiveness, and compliance with Federal and University requirements. Oversees the Electronic Assignment Submission policy and CISA Academic Integrity policies. Organizes Academic Policy Council meetings and coordinates policies and memoranda for discussion processing all concerns in a proactive manner. Ensures and oversees college's compliance to the University ISRP/Thesis Release policies. Creator, editor and fact checker for reports, presentations, policy documents, publications, and memoranda for college wide dissemination. Performs additional duties as assigned.

- Must be able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. Travel is seldom required. Less than 20 % of the time.
- The incumbent must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

**Qualifications**:
**To qualify for this position, you must**:

- Possesses a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or international equivalent) in higher education, education administration, business administration, management or other appropriate discipline.
- Knowledge of college and administrative functions, practices, techniques relevant to academic policy and administration.
- Experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and students providing academic support.
- Experience with software, systems, and programming in support of academic functions such as Blackboard Leaning Management System, TK2O Assessment Application, SharePoint or similar. Experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite Programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing with faculty, students, and staff in academic setting.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

**Education Requirement**:Possesses a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or international equivalent).-

You must provide a copy of the letter containing the results of the equivalency evaluation upon request. Failure to provide such documentation when requested will result in lost consideration.
