Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Casing & Crating - 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.50 per hour.

**What you’ll do**:
**Job summary**

Responsible for performing the final assembly operations of electricity transformers according to prescribed standard methods and procedures.

**Job responsibilities**
- Attend work on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping practices & company policies and procedures.
- Perform work in some or all of the following work centers: Tank-up, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, cover bander, palletizing, final assembly.
- Attach/install component parts and sub-assemblies to transformer tanks (e.g. leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels,

stencils, bands, etc.)- Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.
- Perform various hand assembly, fitting, and adjusting operations of a repetitive nature.
- Retrieve, assemble, and attach covers.
- Load, operate, and unload vacuum system.
- Use punch press and small power hand tools as required.
- Touch-up paint on tanks when needed.
- Rework nonconforming parts and product.
- Perform other operations as directed."

**Qualifications**:
**Education level required**

No education required but must be able to read and comprehend written materials associated with the job and perform basic math functions..

**Years and area of experience required**

Relevant experience preferred.

**Technical knowledge**
- Work from written communications including operating instructions (NFOI), PIC lists, production schedules, JSA, etc.
- Use manual and powered hand tools.
- Operate a hoist.
- Work in awkward positions including prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, and stepping from one level to another intermittently throughout the work day.
- Requires regular manual lifting of 15-35 pounds.
- May require twisting, turning, and pulling of products.
- May require the operation of an industrial lift truck.
- Perform work requiring a strength rating of medium.
- Be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, have good visual acuity, and wear required PPE."
