**Security Investigations Analyst III**:
**Overview**:
The employee works independently within the scope of the contract to provide program management and coordination related to all functions of the Department of State’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) investigations program and serves as advisor to senior Division Management, receiving direct government oversight, assignments, and direction from DS Management.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assist senior management in operational, resource, logístical, and administrative aspects of daily investigative operations;
- Serves as the point of continuity/advisor to Division headquarters personnel; is instrumental in providing expert knowledge pertaining to administrative policies and procedures related to DS and the Department of State to support the Division’s mission and program metrics;
- Briefs Division leadership on performance-related developments and challenges facing the Division; establishes and reports quantitative and qualitative metrics for improved performance;
- Drafts guidance, summaries, memoranda, correspondence, and detailed written reports containing policy recommendations and assessments related to investigations;
- Oversees the collection, review, analysis, and dissemination of Quarterly Performance Reports (QPR), Monthly Status Reports (MSR), Weekly Activity Reports (WAR), and Program Management Reviews (PMR) to develop statistical analysis in support of the Division budget and strategic goals;
- Serves as the point of contact for the Division’s strategic annual program plan;
- Compiles visual aids, presentations, and projects using information from reports and databases to disseminate to Division personnel and leadership;
- Interfaces with and provides administrative program support to global staff members;
- Extracts and evaluates database information from disparate information systems, to include the Investigative Management System (IMS) and the Consular Consolidated Database (CCD), for comparison with MSR data;
- Participates in program reviews and workshops at U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas;
- Manages TDY support personnel and global operational support requirements;
- Responds to requests from overseas posts and other USG agencies for statistical data related to the Division’s mission worldwide as well as information related to investigations;
- Establishes and maintains liaison with high-level personnel throughout the Department of State and DS front office management to coordinate the Division’s program initiatives;
- Assists with the Division’s training portfolio to include liaising with various Department of State entities to coordinate training content and providing instructional material content development;
- Plans and organizes travel and logistics for regional workshops and leadership;
- Develops and manages the Division’s SharePoint site, to include developing site content and technical support;
- Compiles and submits division’s time and attendance reports in absence of budget and logistics coordinator;
- Other tasks as assigned.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
Supervisory responsibilities are not anticipated.

**Education and/or Experience**:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or obtain/maintain a minimum of Secret clearance;
- A Bachelor’s Degree and four years of relevant experience, or six or more years of relevant experience. (An advanced degree in a relevant field can be substituted for two years of relevant experience);
- Direct experience drafting and editing US government reports and documents.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Superior organizational, oral and written communication skills;
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Power Point;
- The ability to conduct themselves professionally while interacting with senior government officials including cabinet level officials and their foreign equivalents.
