Maintenance Technician

**JG Real Estate **is a busy full-service brokerage located in Northern Liberties and serving all of Center City and surrounding neighborhoods, offering leasing, sales, and property management.

Our **Maintenance Team** is responsible for overseeing our large portfolio of managed properties, performing a variety of inspections (annuals, security deposit, turnover planning), responding to any and all maintenance requests submitted by tenants, performing small repairs themselves while coordinating third-party vendors (electricians, plumbers, HVAC, painters, cleaners, roofers, etc.) for others, and advising landlords on the best course of action for repair or for prevention. We represent the landlords and our clients with a fiduciary duty to them at all times, but maintaining positive relationships with tenants and vendors is also necessary. We believe in balancing fairness with empathy, and that tenant satisfaction is ultimately in the best interest of the landlord.

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Salary range of $50-75k commensurate with experience
- 15 days paid time off (PTO)
- 401K, eligible after 6 months of employment with a match up to 4%

**Compensation**:
$50,000 - $75,000 yearly commensurate with experience

**Responsibilities**:
**The day-to-day duties of the job include but are not limited to**:

- plumbing repairs
- electrical repairs
- Painting / Patching
- appliance repair/installation
- HVAC maintenance work
- Debris removal
- Changing lock-sets
- Installing smoke, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers
- landscaping work
- Replacing hinges and shaving doors down

**Qualifications**:
**Necessary Skills & Abilities**
- Clean driving record
- Clean criminal background
- 3 years of experience working as a maintenance technician, tradesman, or contractor
- Ideally comfortable utilizing specialized equipment (dump trailer, tractor, etc)
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
- Creative problem solving
- On call availability
- Good physical condition and strength
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
