We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerk to join our team.
- Record and edit the minutes of meetings and distribute to appropriate officials or staff members.
- Record information from meetings and or other formal proceedings.
- Distribute materials to employees or customers.
- Issue public notification of all official activities or meetings.
- Prepare documentation for contracts, transactions, or regulatory compliance.
- Record and maintain all vital and fiscal records and accounts.
- Prepare meeting agendas or packets of related information.
- Prepare informational or reference materials.
- Prepare and collect documents for the municipal elections.
- Prepare ordinances, resolutions, or proclamations so that they can be executed, recorded, archived, or distributed.
- Maintain and update documents, such as municipal codes.
- Plan and direct the maintenance, filing, safekeeping, and computerization of all municipal documents.
- Manage clerical or administrative activities.
- Perform budgeting duties, such as assisting in budget preparation, expenditure review.
- Act as the Village FOIA officer.
- Respond to requests for information (FOIA) from the public, other municipalities, state officials, or state and federal legislative offices.
- Complete yearly FOIA and OMA training.
- Collect deposits, payments or fees.
- Complete Village deposits.
- Search files, databases or reference materials to obtain needed information.
- Perform contract administration duties, assisting with bid openings or the awarding of contracts.
- Serve as a notary public.
- Manage the Village website.
- Collect and distribute mail.

**Experience**:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Notary Public (required)
Ability to Commute:
- Hebron, IL 60034 (required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Hebron, IL 60034: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
