**Job Title: Greenskeeper III**

**Responsibilities and Tasks**
- Mows greens, tees, fairways, and other turf areas; checks greens for disease, thatch, moisture content, or any other condition that might cause damage to greens; removes dew from greens on non-mowing days.
- Uses verticutters to remove thatch from greens; aerates and/or over-seeds greens, tees, and fairways; cultivates, fertilizes, prunes, and waters turf, plants, and trees.
- Plants and maintains turf, shrubs, trees, and other groundcovers; removes and replaces damaged sod sections.
- Sprays greens, tees, and fairway turf areas; top-dresses green and tee areas; applies herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides as directed.
- Sets pins and tee markers; inspects greens, tees, fairways, and other landscaped areas to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Operates various hand tools and power equipment such as mowers, edgers, aerators, sodcutters, rototillers, saws, trimmers, chemical sprayers, shredders, and sweepers.
- Installs, repairs, and operates irrigation systems; cleans and performs minor maintenance on golf course buildings and related facilities.
- Rake and edge sand traps and maintain bunker faces.
- Lay sod, fill divots, seeding, planting, and hand water.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Learn the rules, regulations, policies, and laws governing the operation of golf courses.
- Follow safety rules and work in a safe manner.
- Keep equipment clean, organized, and maintained.
- Assist with course set-up for daily play and tournaments.
- Ensure the golf course is free from litter, debris, and other hazards.
- Perform general landscape maintenance tasks as needed.
- A team player with a positive outlook and who works cohesively with the team.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
- Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers.
- Perform any other duties or requests assigned by the Director of Golf Course Maintenance or the Asst. Golf Course Superintendents.
- Maintain regular attendance on Mesa Verde Country Club property.
