**SUMMARY**

Judge Pro Tempore bears the task of imposing sentences that align with the gravity of the offense and remain consistent with legal limits. This demands an understanding of the law's confines and requirements. Demonstrating a comprehensive skill set, this role requires the exercise of substantial independent judicial discretion in effectively managing the court's docket, rendering decisions on motions, and timely adjudicating cases.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
This position requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited Law School. This position also requires the absence of any form of discipline by any State Bar or State Supreme Court for a period of 10 years prior to appointment. Criminal law experience is required.
**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
Active Arizona State Bar membership in good standing for at least five (5) years prior to appointment. Be free from any discipline by any State Bar or State Supreme Court for a period of ten (10) years prior to appointment.
