**WORKING FINISH SUPERINTENDENT - Job Description**

**Position Overview**:
Morris Construction Management, LLC is a full-service General Contractor and Construction Management company, located in Montville, New Jersey. Providing construction services for both “in-house” development projects for its parent company Diversified Properties, as well as third party developers and project owners primarily in the greater NY/NJ area.

Morris Construction Management is looking to expand its project management staff with the addition of a Working Finish Superintendent (WFS). The WFS will serve in a supporting role to the Project Manager, assisting in managing all aspects of the Finish construction process for assigned projects. The WFS will report directly to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Aid in plan review with professionals and trades.
- Manage and track the approved Construction Schedule.
- Coordinate efforts across finish trades between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Track RFI’s from design team professionals and trades; aid in RFI requests.
- Track product and system submittals from trades to professionals.
- Manage subcontractor finish trades and “in-house” labor.
- Review individual trades Scopes of Work based on plans and specifications, making sure trades are following their respective Scope of Work.
- Work with Government agencies, and public utilities as required for installations and required inspections.
- Manage costs regarding out-of-contract work, i.e. Change Orders, to maintain budget as practical as possible.
- Prepare weekly and/or monthly progress updates regarding schedule and any major cost overruns.
- Log daily work reports in Procore. The company project tracking software.
- Coordinate bi-weekly construction meetings with all trades to maintain scope, schedule, and budget integrity.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.
- Maintain Quality control inspections of “completed” aspects of the job.
- Coordinate with vendors for deliveries and installations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to complete punch list and/or scheduled repairs.
- Be able to do minor Sheetrock repair, painting, and trim work and Light Carpentry
- Appliance installation assistance.
- Working understanding and testing of appliances, electrical and plumbing fixtures.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to complete hands-on work/labor
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- 5+ years of experience in supervisor/management roles in the construction industry.
- 4+ years of multifamily building experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.

- Computer skills in Microsoft Office and general computer software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
- Ability to schedule and manage trades as required and needed.
- Understanding of Scopes of Work as applied to each trade and the company expectations regarding quality of workmanship.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all company, trade, professional, governmental and ownership personnel.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills demonstrated “team” player.

**Job Location**
- **The position will initially be in New Windsor, NY to start, with other projects in Northern NJ.**

Pay: $51,855.09 - $62,449.14 per year
