We are in search of a dedicated **Engineering Teacher** who is deeply rooted in Christian faith to join our transformative educational community at School Alive. As an integral part of our mission, you will be responsible for educating students across a variety of levels (PK-12, Ages 4-18) with an accelerated curriculum that targets 12th-grade performance by the 8th grade. Beyond conventional pedagogy, you will act as a minister of the Christian faith, integrating our Authentic HAMSTER Education framework, which synergizes Healthcare, Art, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Religion. **Responsibilities**:

- Minister to students through faith-based, authentic **Engineering** education that aligns with Judeo-Christian values
- Manage and educate a diverse range of students from PK-12, adapting to individual learning needs and paces
- Develop and implement transdisciplinary lesson plans that integrate elements of HAMSTER, with a focus on **Engineering**:

- Adhere to and enrich our accelerated teaching curriculum, aiming for 12th-grade performance levels by the 8th grade
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and the broader School Alive community, grounded in Christian fellowship
- Document and communicate student grades, evaluations, and developmental milestones in a transparent and constructive manner
- Uphold the spiritual, mental, and physical well-being of all students, in alignment with our focus on healthcare
- Partner with home and church environments, fulfilling our mission to shape the future, one student at a time
- Facilitate the Passion Period, aiding students in identifying and exercising their individual passions through Passion Projects

Qualifications:

- Possession of relevant degree(s) and/or certification(s)
- A strong commitment to Christian faith and a calling to integrate it into educational practice
- Previous experience in multi-level teaching, or a willingness to adapt to our vertically integrated approach
- Robust classroom management skills, capable of fostering a faith-driven learning environment
- Ability to build genuine rapport with students while guiding them towards their God-given purpose
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on conveying complex **Engineering** concepts in an accessible manner
- Proven leadership qualities, dedicated to fostering character, virtue, and purpose in young lives

Specifications:

- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting building plans and blueprints
- Experience with 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software
- Familiarity with construction principles, techniques, and safety standards
- Practical knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and safety protocols
- An understanding of machinery, tools, and materials used in various engineering trades
- Capacity to integrate real-world engineering contexts into lesson plans to enhance the Authentic HAMSTER Education framework
- Prior involvement in hands-on engineering projects or trade work, such as carpentry, electrical installations, plumbing, or automotive repairs
- Experience or interest in guiding students in building tangible projects, from ideation to completion
- Ability to facilitate workshops and practical sessions that offer students firsthand experience with tools and equipment related to engineering
- Grounded in the physical world, emphasizing hands-on activities, construction, and machinery
- Ability to connect engineering concepts with other HAMSTER disciplines, fostering a holistic and transdisciplinary understanding among students

Pay: $1.00 - $98,000.00 per year
