Our Operators join us from a variety of fields. Many Operators are human services professionals who are frustrated with the bureaucracy of state or insurance-funded programs. Some of our Operators join us with experience in program administration and business. Many of our Operators have always dreamed of opening their facility or running their programs. All our Operators want to make a difference in their local community.

Our mission is to equip passionate individuals and teams to independently plant, grow, and lead sober living homes in their communities. We believe access to sober living for men and women in recovery will save lives, rebuild families, and strengthen communities. Our organization supports and provides resources to and maintains a membership organization for independent sober living operators. We work with independent operators by helping them build and lead homes alongside our team for training, support, and access to our sober living resources (template documents, insurance, handbooks, software, systems, and program design). We believe that empowering local Operators through shared equity ownership is the key to success and has allowed Vanderburgh Sober Living to build a truly groundbreaking organization.

The Position

This opportunity is perfect for an experienced professional in the field of addiction treatment and recovery, mental health, non-profit or charity administration, human services, or other mission-focused field - someone who craves more independence and autonomy to build and run a program to truly fit the needs of their local community. This opportunity requires independence, adaptability, commitment, and a willingness to invest in themselves to learn and grow into this exciting role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reach - Connect with community organizations to build a referral base to support guests in your sober living home
- Engage - Connect with guests in the home to offer support and guidance
- Lead - Lead your recovery community and House Mentor to offer a structured and focused sober living environment
- Administer - Engage in month-end review of financials, impact goals, and compliance requirements to ensure long-term success

- Motivation and interest in serving your local community
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and improve
- High energy and positive attitude
- Ability to effectively lead meetings and presentations
- Strong communication skills including written, verbal, face-to-face, and presentation format
- Strong follow-through ability, organization and attention to detail in scheduling, and follow-up
- Ability to network, build, and maintaining relationships with community partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), overall professional computer and phone skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the field of addiction recovery and human services
- Experience in outreach, business development, networking, sales, or another similar field
- Positive, innovative, and adaptable attitude

Compensation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
