Requirements for consideration:

Job Responsibilities:

- The Formula Room Technician is responsible for ordering, receiving, handling, storing, preparing and delivering human milk and formula. This includes mom’s expressed milk and donor milk.
- Preparation techniques should adhere to all sanitary regulations and standard and will be consistent with the 3d Edition of Infant and Pediatric Feedings: Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities.
- This role is also responsible for ensuring the environment meets facility and cleanliness standards, training and onboarding other technicians, and participating in educational opportunities.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of formulas and supplies; avoids need to overnight
- Records refrigerator and freezer temperatures on appropriate log daily in designated pantries and work areas.
- Adheres to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point guidelines; maintains temperature logs of prepared feedings for quality assurance.
- Removes damaged formula cans and outdated formula stock from inventory and disposes per facility guidelines.
- Covers, labels and dates formula requiring refrigeration according to formula room policy.
- Complies with HIPPA regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
