Scope of the Position:
Maintenance Lead will be responsible for the oversight of the Maintenance team members on his/ her shift. Assist Maintenance Manager with day-to-day operations of the department/ assigned work area to ensure Customer requirements are met while ensuring procedures are followed to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Actively performing job duties as required in Maintenance Technician position
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery and stamping presses
- Modify existing production work cells to improve quality, productivity and ergonomics
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Coordinate regular preventative maintenance on daily equipment and facility
- Communicate with Manufacturing Supervisor’s throughout the shift to understand prioritization of Maintenance calls throughout the shift
- Understand strengths of each Maintenance team member to be able to adequately assign team members to Maintenance calls
- Monitor team members progress throughout the shift
- Main contact for escalation of Maintenance concerns to Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and/ or General Manager
- Perform pass down meeting with next shift and daily report to Maintenance Manager
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of three years Maintenance Technician experience working in fast paced, industrial environment
- Prefer previous Lead/ Supervisor experience, or current employee that has consistently demonstrated the ability to do the job will also be considered
- Knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems
- Ability to identify root cause and countermeasures
- Able to read, analyze and interpret manuals, work orders, blueprints, etc. to perform required maintenance and service
