This position can be entirely Telehealth for Virginia clients or in-person out of our office in Leesburg.

Seeking applicants who are able to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrate strong clinical skills, and believe in fostering client’s strengths in an outpatient mental health setting as well as have a desire to learn how to be a qualified mental health professional.

Our practice will help you market and build a caseload that aligns with your clinical specialization, while helping you explore theoretical orientation, further develop diagnostic and case conceptualization skills, and enhance your professional presence in the counseling field.

While direct service responsibilities include individual therapy, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, goal setting, you get the opportunity to develop your therapeutic niche, building your own ideal client caseload.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist clients in addressing their mental health concerns
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs and goals
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques to support client progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for clients
- Part-time to Full-time availability (1-25 clients per week)
- You create your work schedule

Qualifications:

- Already attained a Master’s degree in Counseling (Mental Health Counseling or LMFT program) from an accredited college or university
- Approval by Virginia Board of Counseling as Resident in Counseling
- Ability to conduct patient intakes and assessments, diagnose according to the DSM-V, and develop appropriate treatment plans under a licensed supervisor
- Experience conducting individual and group therapy sessions in graduate or post-graduate work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Able to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents promptly in EHR system.
- Able to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries with clients
- Interest in working with individuals with diverse backgrounds, values, and presenting problems
- Must have or be willing to get malpractice/liability insurance
- Ability to pass a background check

- Flexibility with scheduling - as an Independent Contractor, you decide when you want to work and what niche you want to develop. Work from 1-25 client hours per week and will help you build to a caseload you feel comfortable with
- Ongoing support team for scheduling, billing, client services, and building marketing skills
