Under general supervision, the AMI Analyst performs a variety of analytical duties, including monitoring alarms, running reports, creating service orders, analyzing real-time and historical data, and monitoring the contact of customers while noting accounts. This position serves as a resource for all HCWA departments with escalated consumption issues, investigates and resolves customer complaints and inquiries regarding water consumption, monitors and verifies the accuracy of readings from AMI equipment, coordinates work with multiple departments to complete tasks and develop new solutions in the office and in the field, and supports department staff as needed.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Uses analytical skills to make appropriate decisions on closing out service orders utilizing AMI and Cogsdale system data to prevent unnecessary field visits.
- Monitors AMI alarms, runs reports, and creates service orders as needed. Reviews meter communication failure, register error, low battery, magnetic, and other alarms for corrective action.
- Monitors the performance of meters and transmitters and the effects of equipment programming on billing. Enters equipment inventory, meter replacements, and new installs in system.
- Monitors and reports on closed out AMI service orders for reads, customer to customer, customer to vacant, and any other service orders affiliated with AMI.
- Responsible for analyzing Cogsdale and AMI systems data for accuracy, completeness, and decision making. Includes meter setup, account details, water/sewer service, routes, subdivision, pressure zones, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring the AMI network including Network Metrics, Device Manager and Sensus Analytics for AMI system stability, functionality, service order scheduling, detailed trend analysis, and reporting. Provides first level network troubleshooting support and works closely with various departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Works with GIS, IT, and AMI/Field Services staff to develop solutions to simplify monitoring real-time and historical data to improve decision making processes.
- Serves as an emergency back-up for AMI Technicians performing inspection duties verifying the accuracy and completeness of the Meter Change-Out project. Utilizes Analytics, GIS, and other databases to obtain required information.
- Responsible for using AMI solutions, Sensus Analytics, and GIS to support, improve, deploy, and recommend new AMI and Field Services processes and close service orders.
- Conducts field visits to support and document the implementation of new AMI solutions.
- Communicates with customers and all departments in a tactful manner to resolve or notify customers of service problems directly over the phone or by other approved communication channels.
- Supports the AMI Supervisor in the daily preparation of work assignments and the completion of those assignments, including the constant consumption notification program and customer portal.
- Creates and maintains SOPs and other documentation regarding integration of different data sources with AMI software.
- Supports and backs up Senior AMI Analyst responsibilities and duties as needed.
- Prepares monthly, annual, quarterly and non-routine reports.
- Performs duties on special projects as assigned.

**Education and/or Experience**: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **_Must be at least 21 years of age._**

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**: Valid Georgia Driver's License. Confined Space certificate or the ability to obtain within twelve (12) months.
