**Responsibilities**:

- **Dispatch Operations**: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of freight vehicles (trucks, trains, ships, etc.) to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- **Route Planning**: Develop efficient transportation routes to optimize delivery times and minimize costs.
- **Communication**: Maintain constant communication with drivers, carriers, and customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise.
- **Documentation**: Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, including weight limits, safety regulations, and hazardous materials handling.
- **Problem Solving**: Address any delays, detours, or other logístical challenges that may arise during transportation, and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
- **Customer Service**: Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing support, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the shipping process.
- **Monitoring**: Utilize tracking systems and software to monitor the progress of shipments and identify potential issues proactively.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks to the transportation process, such as adverse weather conditions or traffic congestion, and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments, including warehouse staff, logistics coordinators, and procurement teams, to ensure seamless coordination of freight operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in freight dispatching, logistics, or transportation management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software and tracking systems.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, informed decisions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in logistics or transportation management preferred.

**Working Conditions**:
The role of Freight Dispatcher often involves working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating multiple shipments simultaneously. This may require occasional overtime hours and the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and efficiency. The work may also involve some level of physical activity, such as moving between office spaces and warehouse facilities.

Pay: $21.21 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
