**Nextonic Soltuions** is seeking a **_Biostatistician _**to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the **National Institute on Aging (NIA) **located in Baltimore, MD.

**Deliverables**:

- Work products and documents related to performing and presenting statistical analyses and data visualization using statistical software packages in collaboration with PI, staff and outside collaborators of the MIND Unit.
- Work products and documents related to working with team on data analysis and data coordination on various large datasets.
- Work products and documents related to working with staff on research coordination of projects within the MIND Unit and with outside collaborators and institutions.
- Work products and documents related to working with PI and staff on the design of experiments, routine progress reports and manuscript preparation; presenting analysis results and data visualization at laboratory meetings.

**Work Details**:

- Provide biostatistical expertise for the research study.
- Provide analytic results using standard statistical procedures, including descriptive statistics, rate standardization, stratification of data and model building (logistic regression, conditional logistic regression, Cox regression) using SAS, Stata, Epicure, and similar statistical software programs.
- Work with branch staff and research training fellows to provide statistical support for studies based on existing data sets; work with staff to assemble data sets for these purposes.
- Write statistical sections in manuscripts; work with research staff to interpret referees’ comments on manuscripts.
- Provide description of statistical methods in manuscripts; work with research staff to respond to and interpret referees’ comments.
- Assists in performing a variety of data management and analytical tasks and organizing complex, large-scale datasets.
- Analyze, interpret, communicate and document epidemiologic data and results.
- Communicate research findings, disseminate public information and respond to relevant inquiries.
- Collaborate and work with a team of researchers to develop, iterate and execute innovative strategies for genomic data integration and modeling/prediction.
- Utilizes statistical software packages to manage, maintain and analyze large, complex statistical datasets.
- Perform descriptive and missing data analysis.
- Applies a variety of data reduction techniques.
- Documents analyses performed and prepares progress reports summarizing results.
- Prepare summaries and reports for staff review.
- Performs a variety of data management and analytical tasks and organizing complex, large-scale datasets.

- Participate in and contribute to different aspects of the research study through study planning, decision-making, problem-solving and strategic analysis.
- Perform descriptive and missing data analysis.
- Applies a variety of data reduction techniques.
- Reviews and summarizes relevant literature and other sources to develop analytical plans.
- Conduct relevant literature reviews and collaborate on relevant research publications.
- Provide literature review related to analyses used in comparable studies.
- Learns and applies new statistical methods and software packages and provides consultation and training to other analysts and staff.
- Provide consultation on use of statistical methods and software packages to other staff.
- Perform and present statistical analyses (e.g., cross-sectional, longitudinal and survival analyses) and data visualization (publication quality) using statistical software packages (e.g., R, SAS, or Stata) in collaboration with PI, staff and outside collaborators of the Multimodal Imaging Neurodegenerative Disease (MIND) Unit.

- Provide statistical support and informal statistical training for postdoctoral and postbaccalaureate fellows.
