**Job Description and Duties**

Would you love to work with freshwater aquatic species in rivers, estuaries and lakes in the picturesque Central California Coast? The Central Region's Coastal Fisheries Team has an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated Scientific Aid looking to make a positive impact to conserve aquatic resources through fisheries assessments within Monterey, San Luis Obispo, and San Benito counties

The incumbent must be in good physical condition, engage in strenuous activity, be required to occasionally lift heavy objects (over 40 pounds), be knowledgeable about power and hand tool use and maintenance, be able to work on weekends, work in adverse weather conditions, travel occasionally, work more than 8 hours a day occasionally.
