**Project Manager (remote)**

**_Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or at any time in the future_**.**

The Project Manager / Program Manager will lead project management activities and be responsible for ensuring the overall success of medium/large projects. Will include analyzing customer (primarily internal) requirements, objectives and methodology to determine best practices. This position is responsible for coordinating with cross functional stakeholders in the development and execution of project timelines, implementing process improvement, risk management and problem resolution. This position will function as the single point of contact for all projects related to the area to which they are assigned.

**Job Functions**:

- Manage scope to including establishing agreed upon deliverables, roles and responsibilities. Adhere to contracts, SOWs, or Vendor guidelines.
- Create, update and maintain project artifacts, schedules, and integrated plans including specific deliverables, timelines, tasks, dependencies and resource assignments.
- Setup and manage processes, systems, tools and organizational resources to initiate, plan, control, execute and close projects associated with the assigned area
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external resources.
- Drive one or multiple projects to completion in parallel within time and budget.
- Ensure that all projects are traceable to objectives and are within the capacity of the organization
- Proactively identify gaps in internal plans and external expectations and managing customer expectations regarding risks and issues mitigation.
- Develop communication plans to disseminate project status, information, and expectations to internal and external customer resources and stakeholders. Create and maintain agreed upon reporting mechanisms that show the overall health of the project(s) and clearly show critical risks, issues, action items, and decisions.

**Education**:
High School Diploma or Global equivalent required. Undergraduate degree from an accredited university/college desired. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree. PMP Certification preferred.

**Experience Guidelines - Required**

Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in a project management role or managing small/medium projects. Experience with project management or software projects/services desired. Healthcare industry experience preferred

**Technical Competencies**
- Proficiency with Project Management Tools and MS Office
- Excellent analytical skills
- PMI membership and basic knowledge of project management processes and methodologies preferred
- Preferred Exposure to SW Development and Engineering Activities
