The Countermeasures Program (CMP) and Security Technology Operations (STO) divisions are operational components within ST. CMP is primarily responsible for worldwide technical countermeasures policy for the Department. Countermeasures policies enforce the protection of sensitive and classified information. CMP also manages the overseas technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) program.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Provides field offices support in the testing, maintenance, and reporting of equipment in the field.
- Reviews compliance with security standards and provides unique technical security solutions when needed.
- Provides maintenance and repair of shielded environments for overseas facilities.
- Completes detailed report upon returning from overseas travel to include documentation of test results as well as documenting maintenance and repair activity.
- Recommends and coordinates corrective action to be resolved by domestic DOS groups and overseas staff.
- Provides training for post personnel and assist with the development of training modules for maintenance and repair programs.
- Performs maintenance on test equipment.
- Occasionally provides maintenance and repair support for domestic facilities.

**Requirements**:

- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Substantive knowledge and understanding of regulations governing the use of and access to classified materials.
- Ability to interact with individuals or groups outside own organization and/or agency.
- Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.
- Able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn technical and physical security countermeasures systems and the Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) standards.

**Experience and Education**
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least two years’ experience in the maintenance and repair of radio frequency shielded enclosures is required.
- Professional electrical, plumbing or HVAC licensing, or at least two years’ relevant experience is required.

**Physical Requirements and Work Environment**
- Normal office environment.
- Travel: 30 - 50%
- Travel both domestically and internationally is required based on mission and business demands.
