** QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM **
**Pay Range**:The pay range for this position is $17.25 to $35.76
**Work Schedule**:Your planned work schedule will be Monday - Friday (8:00 am -4:30pm) and alternating Saturdays. Morning hours (8:00 am -12:00 pm) will be at Bronx PSC.
**Float Incentive**: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
**Work Location**:Manhattan, NY & Bronx, NY
**Job **Responsibilities**:
- Working directly with medical providers to coordinate patient testing needs within a fast
- paced, medical environment.
- Able to navigate around a hospital setting to attend client needs to various suites.
- Ability to decipher, collect, and process complex test orders pertinent to hospital outreach settings.
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
- Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
- Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work with patients and providers to obtain pertinent demographic and billing information. Process and collect payments when required.
- Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors.
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
**Job Requirements**:
- This position requires you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will need to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience as a phlebotomist performing venipunctures
- 1 year of leadership experience
- formal or informal
- Experienced with pediatric draws & neonatal draws
- AAMA or CMA accreditation required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
- Must be familiar with ICD-9 coding
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
- In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under mínimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- High level customer service experience dealing with executive level personnel
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Able to be flexible with scheduled hours to provide shift coverage as needed
- Floats must be 21 years of age, reliable transportation, and clean driving record if applicable
