Chicago, United States Rainforest West loop Full time

Rainforest west loop is looking for staff to work part time from 7:00am-10:00 am. Must have a minimum of one year working with infants and toddlers.

Rainforest is an art based child care center focused on the creative development of children ages 6 weeks - 6 years. The position responsibilities consist of assisting the teachers for the morning routines, learning activities and following the daily schedule such as passing out breakfast, play time, etc.

Requirements for this position are:

- Experience working with children in some capacity. (infant/toddler experience is a plus)
- Dependability (you will be relied on to always be present for a consistent schedule)
- Background in Education is not a requirement, but it is a huge plus.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance in various areas, including childcare, education, and curriculum development. **Duties**:

- Assist in implementing educational programs and activities for children
- Provide support in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities
- Assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment for children
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Monitor and document children's progress and behavior

**Skills**:

- Experience in childcare or early childhood education
- Ability to engage and educate children of different ages and abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
