The Human Resource Generalist implements processes and programs that advance all Human Resources disciplines in UKG as well recruiting and retention of the most important assets, our associates, for both Hampshire Farms and Mariani Nursery. The role of the Human Resources Generalist performs high level support in all Human Resources functions and carries out responsibilities of disciplines including staffing, employee relations, benefits, training, employment, and safety. This role oversees implementation, maintenance and administrative work in UKG and all HR Vendor systems. This role maintains personal records; develops and improves policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of Human Resources support to all departments within Hampshire Farms and Mariani Plants.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of UKG, HRIS platforms as well as all HR vendor systems.
- Coordinates new hire process for managing staff including orientation and new hire paperwork.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Human Resources Manager as needed.
- Ability to answer employee questions and or concerns regarding Human Resource policy, procedures, or employee handbook interpretations.
- Supports Management and Supervisors with employee inquiries, performance review process, coaching, counseling, and terminations.
- Assists with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Ensures UKG, HRIS, vendor systems are being maintained and used accordingly.
- Records data of employee changes affecting wages, such as exemptions, and insurance coverage, for each employee for update keeping of master payroll and benefits records.
- Updates, monitors, and maintains eligible salary adjustments/increases based on performance evaluations.
- Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.
- Assist in maintaining and coordinating employee recognition programs.
- Follow and implement all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the companies.
- Performs other assignments and all other functions related to Human Resources.
