**Principal Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following**:

- Conduct swim lessons following Blueray’s learn-to-swim curriculum.
- Assist in implementing daily aquatic facility operations.
- Regularly evaluate their student’s progress and maintain logs and provide feedback and correction as needed.
- Maintain a safe and controlled environment ensuring that all pool and class rules are being followed.
- Communicate with parents/guardians and provide regular updates on student progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Must be prepared to always handle emergencies during swimming lessons.
- Maintain swim instructor teaching aids, equipment and teaching stations are properly maintained and stored correctly.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 17 years of age.
- 2 years of swim team and(or) water polo experience.
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.
- Previous volunteering experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Competitive Water Polo or Swim Team: 3 years (required)
- Swim Instructor: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Lifeguard Training Certification (preferred)
