Position Summary:
The Events Manager oversees the administrative and operational functions of Lawndale Christian Conference Center and Lawndale Christian Health Center focusing on exceptional customer service and profitability. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, developing processes for continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards of service aligned with the Lawndale Christian mission.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Generate reports to monitor sales and expenditures on a regular basis.
- Ensure that accounting reports are prepared and submitted promptly.
- Oversee payments to vendors to maintain financial obligations.
- Identify and establish partnerships with vendors that align with the organization's mission and support its work.
- Ensure compliance with standards, laws, and regulations as created by regulatory and accrediting organizations such as OSHA, State and Federal Governments, the Department of Public Health, Chicago and Food and Sanitation

LCHC Conference Center
- Manage daily operations
- Create a positive experience for guest
- Plan the scope of the event, including time, location, program, and cost.
- Manage the set up, take down and cleanup of events, adhering to health and safety standards
- Perform clerical and reporting tasks related to events and catering
- Collaborate with LCHC Departments such as IT, EOC and Purchasing to ensure satisfactory operating of the event space.

Lawndale Christian Health Center
- Spearhead Staff Events Support for Organizational Specialty Events. (ex: Assist in coordinating Cultural Celebrations (BHM, AAPI, Hispanic Heritage), Wellness Day, and Anniversary events
- Coordinate and collaborate with a team to provide input into staff events theme, layout and gifts if applicable
- Secure caterers and venues for the event

Required Skills or Abilities:

- Proficiency in event execution, food service, and customer service
- Experience in banquet and conference management
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience in a multicultural setting and commitment to the organization's mission
- Required Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure/Registration:
Bachelor's degree, sanitation certification, restaurant operations, and customer service experience
