**Brief Overview**

This position oversees all aspects of patient care at assigned departments within the Menlo Medical clinic as well as nursing professional practice oversight. The Clinical Manager works closely with the Menlo Operational Director and Medical Provider Leads to guide and maintain clinical practice standards, implement best-practices including those specific to clinical specialties, and ensure compliance with standards of clinical care.

The Clinic Manager facilitates an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among providers, staff, and others. Has major responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans, and standards of the organization and patient care within defined areas of responsibility.

The Clinical Manager will act as an expert in clinical practice, providing management, resources, and guidance to on-site teams through their day-to-day workflow for assigned clinical sites. The Clinical Manager will participate in various organizational committees and projects as assigned by the Director of Operations and will serve as an expert in clinical processes, policies, and procedures. The Clinical Manager will report directly to the Director of Operations.

**What you will do**
- Directly manages the operations of assigned areas.
- Supports professional practice and clinical operations in all areas of responsibility.
- Maintains communication with medical and clinical staff, Administration, patients, and their families/significant others.
- Promotes the Quality and Safety program, in partnership with SMP quality resources, maintaining appropriate quality control programs (where applicable).
- Partnering with the Director of Operations, design specific objectives and relevant initiatives that support clinical process and patient safety which align with standards of care as set forth by Federal and State regulations.
- Oversees, and/or partners with clinic site leaders at local facilities, education and support staff to assures staff competency.
- Implements and evaluates policies and procedures that guide and support provision of care.
- Conducts ongoing assessment and improvement of clinical operations and performance.
- Inspires out of the box thinking by the team who will create opportunities and continuous improvement based on Clinical Quality and Organizational Strategic Plan.
- Partners with Clinical Nurse Educators to streamline and standardize clinical practices and education across the organization.
- Ensures clinical organizational policies and procedures are being implemented and adhered to within the clinic setting.
- Ensures clinical workflow meets organizational standards including daily huddles, Verge Safety Rounding, and adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
- Participates in monthly Provider and Non-Clinical Operations meetings.
- Partners with Regional Directors and Provider Site Leads to create a cohesive environment rooted in a Culture of Safety.
- Participates in meetings and committees as directed.
- Partners with Non-clinical operations to support daily clinic functions.
- Evaluates the quality of services within the goals of each location. Together with the Director of Operations creates action plans to reach goals within a designated timeframe.
- Recruits, hires, and manages staff at assigned MMC clinics.
- Monitors staffing, delegates, and coordinates tasks in order to maintain a system which assures effective, quality patient service, including coverage in service gaps.
- Other duties may be assigned as the needs of the team and organization evolve.

**Qualifications**
- Three (3) years of experience in clinical management/leadership in acute care or outpatient setting.
