**Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a **Claims Supervisor **that handles complex litigated liability claims arising from commercial and personal liability policies. This position will require the ability to analyze coverage issues in addition to routine claim adjusting functions. Additionally, the position will involve extensive coverage letter drafting and frequent communication with various parties including attorneys. Strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Supervises a team of liability adjusters who handles complex litigated liability claims arising from commercial and personal liability policies throughout the United States to ensure claims efficiency
- Establish goals and benchmarks for adjusting unit
- Determines and evaluates reserve and settlement requests
- Negotiates claim settlements within confines of authority
- Ensure appropriate claim reserves are established and communicated in a timely manner
- Appropriately identify significant claims to the management team
- Audit claim files of adjusting team to ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements
- Review the settlement activity of claims staff to ensure service and efficiency
- Selects, trains coaches and mentors the claim adjusting unit
- Monitors adjusters’ performance to ensure adjusters are meeting their quality and performance objectives
- Retain, assign and manage defense counsel to create litigation strategies
- Identify potential claims which will require the involvement of the SIU department

**Salary Range**

$60,000.00-$95,000.00 USD

Qualifications:

- Expert knowledge of litigated commercial claims handling with 10+ years of experience
- Active P&C Claims license preferred
- In-depth understanding of coverage issues arising from commercial and personal liability policies
- Possess written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative fashion within unit and others units throughout the company
- Ability to work independently and meet assigned deadlines
- Able to work under pressure and execute good judgment in sensitive situations
