Maryland Vascular Specialists (MVS) is looking for a personable, hard-working Facilities Manager who can also function as a Handyman when needed. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position. A least 1 year of experience in the Construction, HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical field helpful

A Facilities Manager and Handyman will oversee the facilities portion of the medical offices in the MVS family of practices. This position offers a competitive salary based on experience, 401k, health/dental/vision insurances, paid vacation & sick time, along with many other great benefits.

**The Facilities Manager’s duties include**:

- Performing complex project management and purchasing related to new office construction and revitalization.
- Develops, monitors, and implements hands-on preventative maintenance programs in all offices throughout the practice.
- Performs general repair work as needed: paint/plaster, electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
- Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues to elevate to outside contractors if necessary.
- Manages capital projects related to office design, construction, and equipment.
- Monitors costs and resource allocation to keep projects on track and under budget.
- Develops contractor relationships to maintain a pool of vetted craftsmen for projects across the practice.
- Negotiates, manages, and reviews contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Plans and oversees office relocations and expansions, while collaborating with interdepartmental teams to maximize workplace functionality.
- Sources furniture, equipment, and supplies for workplace projects while maintaining the company’s standards and vision.
- Travel is required within Maryland and York and Franklin Counties in PA.

**Skills required**:

- To be able to communicate with internal and external shareholders, as well as contractors and vendors.
- To understand procedure manuals and government regulations.
- To understand costing and estimating of projects and services.
- To understand and be able to read blueprints.
- To be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail is of the utmost importance.
- To be able to see the component parts of the greater whole. The ability to reason out every element of a project or proposal will assist in minimizing cost and maximizing output. The ability to take a “big picture” idea and break it down into manageable tasks is crucial.

A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is **required.**

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
