**Medical Assistant**

Changes Plastic Surgery is a growing and nationally recognized plastic surgery practice in San Diego, CA. Our practice has mastered the art of both full face, full body makeovers (breast/revision breast surgery, facelifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, etc.), and a variety of non-surgical med spa treatments. We are a patient-centric, innovative, and results-driven office whose goal is to be the best plastic surgery practice on the West Coast. Our Medical Assistants perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep our medical facility running smoothly. Our ideal Medical Assistant is a team player who is passionate about cosmetic patient care and can complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

This is your chance to gain invaluable hands-on experience in the highly sought-after field of cosmetic medicine. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Assisting in post op and follow up visits
- Performing assistance with surgical education and patient questions
- Requesting and following up on labs, medical clearances, and prescriptions
- Changing dressings, removing drains and sutures, and triaging patient concerns
- Completing clinical paperwork including assisting in insurance and disability paperwork requests
- Maintaining inventory of medical supplies/stocking all exam rooms
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments and materials
- Assisting in local surgeries alongside the doctor and clinical staff
- Learning to use the EMR/Practice management and other software systems required by the office
- Maintaining clinical compliance documentation, credentials, and other important paperwork
- Rooming patients, assisting as necessary in cleaning the rooms after each encounter - this is mostly the clinical team's duty but everyone helps out.
- Before and after patient photography

- Medical Scribe: 2 years (preferred)
- Plastic Surgery/Dermatology (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (required)

Willingness to travel:
