Description

High Seas, a leading destination for premium cannabis products and customer experience, seeks a passionate Community Liaison to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Event planning and physical event set up
- Developing, and implementing communication initiatives with Marketing Director
- Leading the Brand Ambassador team
- Analyze and report on marketing campaigns
- Media Relations
- Content Creation

Main tasks

**Event Planning and Set Up**:
Collaborate with the marketing team to identify any and all physical assets for our marketing events and campaigns. Responsible for finding venues, coordinating the set up of our booth, promotional materials, etc.

**Duties**:

- Serve as a liaison between the organization and the community
- Recruit volunteers and coordinate their activities
- Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns
- Educate the community about the organization's mission and programs
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed

**Internal communication**:
Regular communication within the organization including important updates, announcements, and information from the Marketing Director.

**Media relations**:

- Developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, media, partners, and the general public representing High Seas at all events and activations. This involves working with Marketing Director to craft key messages that maintain a positive public image.
- Building and maintaining relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, ambassadors and media outlets (cannabis or non-cannabis) to promote positive coverage of the organization.

**Content Creation**:
Helping with development various types of engaging, accurate, and consistent content with the organization's messaging, such as written articles, blog posts, social media, videos, press releases, and public presentations.

**Analytics and reporting**:
Prepare regular reports with Marketing Director covering actionable insights and analysis of our Marketing initiatives. Able to quantify the impact of PR campaigns using relevant metrics and KPIs to determine ROI.

**Brand Ambassador**:
Experience as a Brand Ambassador to cannabis companies or brands. Lead the Street Team to execute marketing initiatives set by Marketing Director. Provide extra support to the marketing team as needed on site.

**Requirements**:
**Education**:
A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

**Luxury Industry Knowledge**:
Familiarity with the upscale and luxury environment is essential to understand its customer behaviors, needs, and audience.

**Cannabis Industry Knowledge**:
Familiarity with the cannabis industry is essential to understand its unique challenges, regulations, and target audience.

**Communication experience**:

- Prior experience in traditional communication marketing, events, and digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft engaging and informative content.
- Strong editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Project management and time management skills
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to measure campaign performance.
