Overview

Responsible for planning, directing and controlling the billing and office support functions

**Responsibilities**:

- Directs administrative audit services and operations for the palliative program including billing, purchasing, communication systems, space utilization, and mail services.
- Coordinates systems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review and personnel function to ensure efficient operations in the palliative program.
- Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or third party payors, through education, coaching, and other assistance as necessary.
- Assists the Palliative Care Manager in maintaining required information for audits and licensure reviews in addition to keeping policy and procedure books and records up to date.
- Audits palliative care billing systems to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
- Follows process outlined in palliative care handbook for referred entity, visit verification, end of month billing, processing all workflow schedules and visits.
- Assesses, analyzes and monitors administrative care center systems and procedures for multiple sites.
- Makes recommendations for improved systems and procedures and efficiency of operations.
- Inputs referrals, sends completed visit notes and tracks census.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**
- High school diploma.
- Two (2+) year's office or related experience, preferably in healthcare environment.
- Strong computer and software skills.
- Working knowledge of record keeping and office administration.
- Dependable transportation, valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.

**Preferred**
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
