BLACKHOUSE is a black and women owned event production agency founded in 2016 by two college besties who share a passion for curating experiences. Our award winning experiential agency specializes in brand activations, press and influencer events, B2B conferences, corporate events, award shows, and non-profit galas. We operate our boutique agency with a small full-time team in NYC and work nationwide with our extensive Tribe of event professionals who work on contracts thoughtfully matched to each event based on their experience and location. We bridge the gap between ideation and execution, providing a concierge-like experience for our clients. We specialize in experiential programming, immersive production design, technical production, and show direction.

**Role Summary**:As a Marketing & Sales Assistant your primary focus is on supporting the marketing programs to grow our digital presence, foster brand awareness, and work with the business development team fostering sales and facilitating the sales process. You will report to the Director of Business Development, and work cross functionally with our sales, marketing and production teams on projects. You will learn all about the event industry, and the inner workings of the production for top tier experiential events with brands like Disney and Prime Video, and corporate events and conferences with Fortune 500 companies like Bloomberg and Unum. You will have hands-on learning as you contribute to both the development of our sales tools but also gain access to networking and assisting in building client relations. As a Marketing & Sales Assistant, you will be involved in developing marketing strategy, creating content for social media, lead generation, prospecting and outreach, sales proposal development, and ideation and research for our sales pitches.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to team brainstorms, bringing ideas for scroll-stopping creative content.
- Design quality content for social media that incorporates high-impact imagery, compelling copy, engages followers and prompts conversations.
- Support social media campaigns, community management, and reporting.
- Assist with sales proposals and pitches, initiatives to foster relationships with our existing clients, and expansion of our sales programs and campaigns, to increase sales revenue and grow our customer base.
- Assist with design of creative presentations for a client proposal using Google Slides and Canva, incorporating high-impact imagery, compelling copy and references from research.
- Assist with the development of the “Scope of Work” using templated Google Docs.
- Draft, schedule, and nurture social media posts that build meaningful connections by engaging with followers responding to comments promptly.
- Stay up to date on the latest Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok trends to continuously evolve our strategy and approach, to increase engagement and impressions.
- Conduct research on competitors and market trends relative to our marketing strategy.
- Assist with competitive analysis of our industry peers and provide recommendations for future strategies.
- Collect, edit and organize photos and videos of BlackHouse events in Google photos and build albums to support content creation for various marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and track press hits for all of our events using a templated tracker.
- Assist with developing content for BlackHouse’s website with attention to detail, ensuring accurate copy, images edited to specifications, and optimized SEO.
- Collaborate with the team for continued design development of sales collateral such as the agency’s standard “Capabilities Deck” that presents our agency’s services, features case studies and impressive imagery of BlackHouse’s past events, and testimonials and proof points of our success. Write case studies for past events that summarize the project and prove success. Incorporate imagery and testimonials (as available) into the case studies that may be featured on BlackHouse’s website, LinkedIn and The Vendry.
