Prepares a variety of legal forms and documents including criminal/civil complaints, warrants, subpoenas, bonds, commitments, notices, etc.
- Files and dockets citations, complaints, and all actions taken in each case.
- Processes certified mailings of criminal/civil complaints, court orders, etc.
- Answers telephone inquiries and directs callers to appropriate individual.
- Schedules hearings and appointments and maintains court calendar.
- Collects fines and cots and makes appropriate recording, posting, and recordkeeping for same. Writes checks and makes bank deposits as required.
- Prepares reports as required.
- Enters data in computer; types various forms, reports, and correspondence.
- Proficient in both county and state computer system.
- Maintains up-to-date manuals for department use.
- Orders office supplies for department as needed.
- Interacts with other County offices as necessary.
- Directs clients to courtroom or other county offices.
- Performs other job related duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent And some business/clerical training, including computers. Required Experience: Two (2) years working experience in legal environment, or experience in government preferred.
