Backroom Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Backroom Associate. As a Backroom Associate, you will be responsible for various duties including inventory control, loading and unloading merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized backroom area. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties**:

- Receive and process incoming merchandise shipments
- Unload merchandise from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
- Sort and organize merchandise in the backroom according to established procedures
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory control
- Ensure accurate labeling and tagging of merchandise
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the backroom area
- Assist with loading merchandise onto trucks for shipment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse setting is preferred
- Familiarity with retail math concepts such as calculating discounts and sales prices is a plus
- Knowledge of produce handling and storage is an advantage
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience with inventory control procedures is beneficial
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes is desirable
- Multilingual skills are a plus

Please note that this position may require the use of forklifts or other equipment, so prior certification or experience operating such machinery is preferred.
