Laundry Attendant
At the Holiday Inn Express & Suites we look for people who are welcoming and can focus on the things that really matter to our guests - and get them right every time. To deliver a great guest experience - the Laundry Attendant will clean and service the guestroom amenities so everything is spotless and prepared for guests.
Duties include:
- Receiving soiled linens & terry, sorting all articles by kind, color to be laundered.
- Properly operate and use washers/dryers per manufacturer's and hotel operations.
- Fold and store all clean linens & terry in proper storage areas.
- Clean and maintain the laundry areas on a daily basis.
- Clean all lint traps daily for proper care and maintenance of the washer/dryers.
- Take inventory each week on all laundry chemicals and report to the Supervisor for reordering.
- Assist housekeepers with removing linens & terry from guestrooms, when needed
- Deliver linen & terry to various floors during shift to assist housekeepers
- Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
- Greet and acknowledge guests whenever you are approached or pass in hallways, public areas, etc.
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions in guestrooms and hotel areas immediately to supervisor
- Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per hotel procedures to ensure excellent quality and service
The job requires the ability to perform the following:
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds / 23 kilograms and ability to push/pull medium to large weights/objects
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
- Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Able to work alone as well as being a team member
- Communication skills used frequently when interacting with guests and employees
- Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are used often when reading room assignments, completing checklists, replacing room linens and amenities
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays
We are seeking hourly, full-time and part-time positions. Must have own transportation.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
