**Responsibilities**:

- Safely handle dogs during walks, adhering to established safety protocols.
- Conduct walks in a responsible manner, ensuring the dogs' safety and health.
- Interpret dog body language effectively to address their needs.
- Administer basic commands during walks to ensure control and discipline.
- Identify signs of distress or illness in dogs and respond appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness by promptly cleaning up after the dogs.
- Consistently be available for scheduled walks within designated time frames.
- Uphold a consistent schedule with reliability and consistency.

**Skills**:

- Experience in pet care or related fields such as veterinary technician, kennel work, or pet sitting is advantageous.
- Proficiency in dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods.
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and their pets.
- Ability to recognize and respond to various dog temperaments and behaviors.

It's A Dog's Life NY is a premium pet care & training service founded by Pet Expert Elena Gretch. With over 15 years of experience, we offer dog walking, training, and pet sitting services tailored for New York City's esteemed canine residents.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
